Based upon the award winning AX10 Scorpion KIT*. The AX10 Scorpion RTC comes "Ready-to-Crawl". The RTC is currently the only 2.2 (most popular scale/class) rock crawler on the market that only requires batteries, and is ready to hit the terrain.
Motor: 55T Electric Motor: designed exclusively for RC Rock Crawlers to conquer all terrain in-door or out-doors. Easy operation: no tuning, no fuel, no loud exhaust noise. Just plug'n'go!
Slipper Clutch: Allows the motor to work more efficiently and greatly enhances the durability of the drivetrain. Also allows the transmission to slip-in hard binds - this helps to prevent the damage of drivetrain components.
Transmission: Ultra compact and lightweight transmission. This design is meant to keep your center-of-gravity (COG) as low as possible to minimize roll-overs.
Full Ball Bearings: For precise gear mesh and reduced rolling resistance throughout the drivetrain.
Designed for Punishment: Durable composite plastic links are designed to absorb and flex under extreme conditions. Flexing helps to take the punishment of repeated falls onto even the rockiest of terrain.
Axles - Proven Durability: The axles have been designed with many features that are not available from other products on the market. Everything from the axle strength, pinion angle, caster, and ground clearance were taken into consideration when designing these axles. The result is a far superior axle that will stand-up to some severe punishment.
Differential Locker: Locked differentials front and rear for "true" 4 wheel drive. 4WD allows all wheels to maximize traction when crawling.
Tires: Pro-Line® Hammers with Pro-Line® Memory Foams. The Hammers utilize a totally unique compounding process. Super soft yet maintains tread shape and carcass shape while climbing under the most extreme conditions. The tread is designed for forward bite and sidehill capability.
Wheels: True beadlocks: The added realism of 1:1 wheels isn't just for looks because beadlocks also require no messy glue, and allow you to re-use your wheels.

- WHY 55T?: The 55T provides optimum low-end pull and slower wheel speed while crawling.

- Plastic links not only withstand the abuse received from unforgiving terrain and hard binds, but they also provide your crawler improved ability to slide over obstacles vs. getting hung-up on them - one of the main reasons why the top chassis skid plates are made of composite plastics.
- New geometry options/tunability.
- OPTION PART: If you're looking to switch to aluminum, you'll need the AX10 Scorpion Color Packs AX1407 Green, AX1408 Red, AX1409 Blue, AX1410 Orange. This kit requires AXA1411 hardware pack.

- To ensure added longevity from the start a hardened drive shaft is included.
- OPTION PART: Utilize Optional Ratio Gear Sets in different combinations front and rear to reduce torque twist in the rear and overdrive the front axle to help pull you through climbs easier.
- Try the lower gear set to reduce torque twist (43/13), and the higher gear set for higher top speed (36/14).
Differential Locker: Locked differentials front and rear for "true" 4 wheel drive. 4WD allows all wheels to maximize traction when crawling.

- Made from strong sintered metal. Sintered metal provides superior metallurgical characteristics and can be manufactured with very tight tolerances.

- PRO-LINE® MEMORY FOAMS: has several distinct advantages over standard foam inserts.
- First, it allows the tire to flex more over obstacles. This allows your tire to work more efficiently and effectively. This also helps to maintain a more level chassis by absorbing these obstacle.
- Second, because there’s more tire flex it also provides more tread on the ground giving more contact patch. The more contact patch the greater the traction you’ll have and the easier it will be to clear tough obstacles.
- Lastly, the foam does not bounce back and this promotes a more stable crawler. Standard foams spring back right away where memory foam maintains a compressed shape longer making wheel hop less likely.

- 3.5mm titanium nitride coated shock shaft reduces lateral movement.
- Cartridge style bottom helps reduce lateral movement while providing a better seal for less leakage.
- Silicone diaphragm provides more consistent feel and better seal to prevent leakage.
- Silicone bushing in cap holds shock in place while allowing freedom of movement to prevent binding and prevents the shock cap from popping off.
